About Option Engineering
I’m Darcy, I’m from a farming background and grew up in the Wheatbelt. Since a very young age I’ve had a keen interest for building, modifying and fixing anything and everything. I completed my Engineering Tradesperson (Fabrication) apprenticeship in Northam WA and have over 22 year’s experience in fabrication and welding. I gained significant experience in the fabrication of ute trays, canopies including fit out with drawer systems for a wide range of vehicles, custom built trailers, caravans and toy haulers.
I have a passion for all things 4WDing and travel, in 2017 my wife Tanya and I travelled Australia for 2 years for our honeymoon in an off-road caravan we built ourselves. After a lot of exploring, we decided Bunbury was the best place in Australia for us to start a family and the next chapter of our lives. So here we are, nearly 5 years later with three children and running our own fabrication business comprising of a small team helping people fulfil their adventures.
